Friedman CPA Group Realized Change Was Coming
For 25 years, Friedman CPA Group had an in-house IT administrator for many years. His primary role was taking care of the IT systems.
However, the time had come for him to retire and the firm to find a new, modern solution. Mr. Friedman and his son, David, realized the firm needed to move forward and transition. They began searching for an outsourced managed services company to take over the duties of their IT administrator. During their search process, Ron received a referral from a longtime golf buddy who recommended GiaSpace.
At the same time, David, who heads up their technology group and the firm’s assurance department, also evaluated network administration companies.
Once David narrowed down who he felt were Friedman CPA Group’s best choices, he got Ron involved. GiaSpace Helped Friedman CPA Group Update Their Entire System
During GiaSpace’s evaluation, Rob uncovered that the firm had an older system, and the hardware had reached the end of life and could soon fail. That is very common with companies that GiaSpace assesses when a company are ready to update and modernize its existing IT system. “Listen to Rob. They’re really good! They’re organized.
They make the process easier for you,” Rob noted areas of concern that could negatively affect Friedman CPA Group. We upgraded their Firewall to assist in Cyber Prevention. Additionally, other areas needed solutions to update the firm’s network.
Those sections were Helpdesk Services, Cybersecurity, Project Management, Vendor Management, Network Management, Offsite Backups, and Onsite Break-fix.
After Rob and his GiaSpace Team finished their assessment, they successfully migrated all the data from the aging hardware and upgraded all the systems. The server closet was addressed and cleaned up. The firewall now protects the network and closed off all the open ports. The entire system is now fully documented and compliant.
